BackgroundMac Keith Press started in 1959 when The Spastics Society, a charity for people with cerebral palsy (now called Scope), approached Dr Ronald Mac Keith and his colleagues about improving the care of children with cerebral palsy. Dr Mac Keith responded by setting up the Press as a source of information. Clinics in Developmental MedicineCDMs are a series of specialist professional books. Now with over 170 volumes, they are a major resource in childhood disability. Subjects range from highly focused monographs to standard reference books. Four volumes are published each year. Other publicationsThe Press publishes an annual book series for the International Child Neurology Association. Structure and OperationEditorial policy is under the direction of its Editorial Board with internationally recognised experts as its members. Scope provides the Press with essential financial and administrative support. Distribution, marketing and sales of all publications are handled by Blackwell Publishing. |
